Posted to Weibo by chongdiantou, the photos are purportedly sourced from an anonymous engineer. The part features a single-coil architecture for the charging coil and what appears to be a female Lightning port on the bottom for traditional charging. It's said to feature USB Power Delivery perhaps via a USB Type-C to Lightning charging cable which would supply up to 12V.
On the back of the component we can see some specifications:

● Efficiency: 70% -85%
● Compatible with WPC QI
● Product Certification: CE FCC Rohs
● Operating frequency: 110K-230K
It's said that Apple is testing a variety wireless charging technologies including inductive and magnetic resonance. It's still unclear which technology will ship with the new smartphone.
